Happy First Day of spring! I’ve been counting down the days until I could (happily) wave goodbye to winter, and say hello to my favorite season of all – spring. I know we’re only one day into the season, but based on the amount of questions I’ve been receiving, a spring wardrobe is on everyone’s mind. And more specifically, what to wear in this in-between phase, when you really just want to wear your warm-weather pieces, but the forty degree temperatures outside tell you otherwise. So, we’re in agreement that this time of year can be sort of challenging for dressing, right? Well, I’m telling you it’s time to tuck away some of the warm winter pieces and start embracing this season by sporting key spring transitional pieces and prints that are perfect these in-between months.
Today I’m sharing a 60’s floral print shirt, with one of my favorite lighter jackets, for the perfect transitional look. I opted for a moodier take on the classic spring color palette by working this lighter burgundy jacket into the mix. It has the look and feel of spring, and complements the blend of sky blue and fiery red in this floral print shirt. The result is definitely still spring-time-ready but with a dash of dark romance. This light quilted bomber jacket from Shop Sincerely Jules has been a new favorite piece of mine because it keeps me warm and it allows for layering, which is key!

A classic staple in my wardrobe during the winter to spring months is always a great fitting silk button down. They are perfect for layering with winter sweaters, but also a great layering option for when things start to heat up. I love the way Equipment’s silk button downs fit, look and feel. They are so buttery soft and pair beautifully with almost all outerwear. The soft floral print of this shirt has just enough flutter and flounce to keep you looking effortless and ready for the season. The cool sky blue creates a striking contrast against the blazing red, especially in this 60’s floral print. You can easily take this top into the summer months, with a light jean skirt and a simple pair of sandals. I may be thinking too far in advance, but I definitely plan on keeping this piece in my wardrobe for the upcoming seasons.
Love,
Liv
