PINK CRUSH

As much as I love the darker winter palette, there’s something about pastel hues that feel fresh and perfect for spring – especially dusty rose or soft pink. I don’t know what it is about these pastel shades, but they remind me of warm weather, sun, and one giant step closer to my birthday and summer time. And of course, you all know how I feel about summer and my birthday!!

It seems like we’re all looking through rose-colored glasses this season with pink being at the forefront of the must-have colors for spring. This dusty rose hue continues to dominate, as it has gotten a revamp and is seen as an elevated and forward shade. A pink piece can really take your outfit to new heights, which might make this the easiest and prettiest styling tip ever! No matter how much or how little of the color you decide to wear in one look, soft pink looks are everything right now.

I’ve always loved the color, but more recently I’ve fallen deeper in love with pink. It gives me a happy and overall positive feeling and really…how could you not have a great day wearing a beautiful pink jacket? This leather piece from Mackage immediately grabbed my attention because of the delicate petal hue, and the femmed-up topper brings out the softer side of the biker jacket’s design. I wanted to style this jacket with a similar colored top and when I saw this Project Social T rose-colored tank, I knew I had the perfect pairing. The easy linen material created an effortless look in contrast with the leather. I wanted to keep a light and airy color palette running throughout the look, which is why I styled the top and jacket with a light wash pair of jeans. The Liya from Citizens of Humanity are my absolute favorite jeans because they fit like a glove and the denim has such a natural distressed look.

I tied the pink back in with these dusty rose velvet booties, which have a perfect little heel and add a little lift! And finally, the last added pink touch – these Bonnie and Clyde translucent sunglasses in the color Himalayan Salt. I fell in love with the unique shape of the frames and obviously the shade of the lenses. These sunglasses are so fun, unique, and comfortable and I cannot wait to style them with so many different looks.
