It’s not news that the 60’s and 70’s have made a serious comeback. But, there is no need to go digging for retro silhouettes to get in on this trend. My way of incorporating these throwback trends into my wardrobe is by introducing some of the old school fabrics, like my all time favorite – corduroy. It’s back and I’m obsessed. The modern silhouette of the cord dress, but in this oh so 70’s fabric, gives that vintage cool girl feel. If you’re looking for an easy way to add some cord into your life, this dress would be the perfect place to start. The dark navy blue corduroy is a subtle statement and perfect for transitioning into that cooler fall weather. I decided to style this shift dress with a tissue thin turtleneck tucked beneath the dress to add another dimension. I liked the contrast in colors and how the stark white turtleneck made the texture and color of the corduroy really stand out. I can’t wait to style this piece with an off-the-shoulder top that has a delicate bell sleeve! Either way, you cant go wrong….both effortlessly cool, comfortable and will keep you warm during this Fall.
