Trend Focus: This Boot Trend Is Still a Thing

White boot trend Liv For Luxury Liv Micheli“Trends come and go but style is forever” is how the famous saying goes. While I am a firm believer in investing in classic and timeless pieces that are versatile and will be in your closet for years to come, I do love dabbling in some of the seasons hottest trends when they really speak to me and my personal style. Trends, by their very nature, are tricky to lock down and predict their lifespan. Now, more than ever, I’ve noticed that some trends are subjected to fade out within a season, some linger around for the long haul and evolve into a generational classic and some make a living off of many comebacks. White boots have captured the hearts of the fashion industry this year, including myself. Coming into the season of NYFW, I had fears of the white boot trend leaving my F/W 18 shoe rotation. But, it was confirmed by several designers at NYFW that the white boot trend isn’t going anywhere any time soon.

The white boot trend is still very much a thing, and designers like Tibi, Prabal Gurung, Zadig & Voltaire and Adam Selman showcased the little white boot in several different silhouettes, and styles. Tibi has to be one of my favorite brands at NYFW, so you can imagine how excited I was to see the white boot strutting down the catwalk. Tibi sent out white boots of all kinds raging from a lace up bootie with a rounded heel, to mid-calf and slightly slouchy boots. To say that I am slightly relieved that this trend is here to stay, would be the biggest understatement of the season. Well…maybe not of the whole season, but you know what I mean. Bottom line, if you’re going to hop on a trend train, might as well choose one that’s proven to have a decent lifespan season after season, like the white boot.

One of the stand out white boots of the season have to be the Stuart Weitzman Clinger Boots. They have an incredibly gorgeous streamlined silhouette and for me, when it came down to finding THE perfect white boot, the Clinger was only the one for me. The fit is flawless, the pointed toe is perfect and the mid-calf structure makes them versatile to pair with trousers, jeans or even a long skirt. Not to mention, they are one of the most comfortable pair of boots that I own. I constantly find myself grabbing these boots, styling them with all of my winter looks and walking all of the city in them. They’re my go for amping up any look!

There is nothing like a crisp white boot to liven up your shoe wardrobe (that I am assuming) is bogged down with the classic black boot. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with a black boot, but if you want to kick things up a notch, forge ahead and shop some of my favorite white boot options below:

Love,

Liv
