Every fragrance has its own story, which are like mini memories. I’ve always admired a fragrances’ ability to transport me back to a special moment in my life when the same aroma was present. There are some specific scents which, even now, take me back in time. Whether it’s the smell of freshly fallen snow, my moms favorite Ralph Lauren candles burning on Christmas day, or the perfume that I wore on my graduation day, every fragrance has an emotion connected to it, which makes them that much more special.
I’ve always been one of those people that is selective with my perfumes. The scent needs to be just right in order for me to commit to it and wear it all day long. I’m always willing to try new scents, but I look for fragrances that are light, vibrant and feminine. Each fragrance evokes a different emotion after I spritz it on and start my day.
Last month, I was invited to try the new WOMAN by Ralph Lauren fragrance. Ralph Lauren has long been a brand that I have admired, loved, and even worked for ever since I was a teenager. Now that Liv For Luxury, the brand that I created, is able to work and collaborate with this brand and be a part of such a powerful campaign is a dream come true. I love how this campaign celebrates that women are enigmatic in their contradictions; feminine, but fearless, sensual but strong and multifaceted. My mother said my eyes lit up when I received my personalized fragrance in a gorgeous gold and white box. It was my first time wearing their new fragrance, and now, that memory will always be connected. Whenever I wear the new scent, I think about how ecstatic I was to have received such a special gift from a brand that I have admired for years. I associate the scent with the honor of working with a world-renowned brand, and the growth of my own personal brand.
The scent itself is best describes as bold, yet feminine, with a magnetic contrast between feminine blooming florals, and rich vibrant woods. The combination the fruity alluring top notes, which include blackcurrant, pear, and rhubarb, with the tuberose mid notes and the vibrant woody base notes, captures an alluring harmony of audacious power and feminine grace. The result is a light, yet woodsy fragrance, which is something that makes you want to wear it every day. I enjoy lightly spritzing WOMAN on my wrists, then lightly tapping it on to my collarbone for a subtle scent. Heat is what activates perfume, so I always recommend applying your fragrance to the pulse point on the body. Some such points are located behind the ear, at the bottom of the throat and on your wrist. When I wear this fragrance, I love how the soft aroma lightly floats around my pulse points. Quick Tip: By applying your perfume to those pulse points on the body, your scent will actually last longer throughout a busy day!
