Wearing: OFF-WHITE c/o Virgil Abloh Jacket | Club Monaco Overalls | Alix NYC Bodysuit | Schutz Shoes (s/o similar here and here) | Saint Laurent Sunglasses
Off-White is a brand that bridges the worlds between elevated streetwear and high fashion, designed by Virgil Abloh. His Off-White line explores ideas of branding and expression of the youth culture in the contemporary moment. This is not the first time I have been intrigued by his designs, as I featured another one of his pieces in my NYFW post a little while back. When I saw this Off-White Suede Bomber Jacket in his women’s collection, I fell in love with the camel suede and the artwork featured all over the jacket by Othelo Gervacio. If you look at the jacket the words appear in the opposite direction, but if you were to look in the mirror, the phrases such as “Dazzed Still Confused” or “War Is Not Over” appear on the jacket. I had no idea about this interesting feature until I put the outfit on and looked at the reflection. It made it that much cooler…
The written text featured on the jacket really stands out so I wanted to pair it with a subtle color scheme, and flared silhouette. These ‘Olivia’ Overalls, by Citizens of Humanity were made exclusively for Club Monaco and were not only perfect because of their name, but I loved the slim fit body with the dramatic flared leg and the contrast zip in the front. It added a feminine touch to the overall look….see what I did there….
