SAILOR PANTS

At last!! The weather is finally cold enough for me to break out some of my new fall pieces. One of the strongest color trends for Fall/Winter 2015 is different shades of green. It made an appearance on almost every FW 2105-2016 runway, and when I laid eyes on these deep green sailor-button wide leg pants….I knew I struck gold. I fell in love with this particular shade of green and the side button detailing.

Simple and sleek is what I was thinking for on top…so it was time to resurrect the turtleneck! This high-neck staple was the perfect fall paring to a wide leg sailor pant. The turtleneck is one of my FW go to’s because it not only keeps you warm, but it also adds a very elegantly elongated aspect to the overall look. The look wasn’t complete without a maxi coat draped over the shoulders. This herringbone coat from Zara was a widely popular item, and I am happy to let you know that it was recently restocked!

Wearing: Alice + Olivia Pants | American Apparel Tank | Stuart Weitzman Sandals | PD Paola Rings Is it a skirt or pants…? This is the question I know you’re all thinking. My initial thought was that it was a skirt, but when I tried it on I was pleasantly surprised! These dramatically wide, accordion wide leg pants are right up my street, and they are ideal for hot summer days! I wore a very simple knitted tank top, so I didn’t distract from the unique pattern and shape of these pants. I loved the movement and how the delicate fabric flowed in the wind when I walked. I know wide leg pants can be somewhat of a daring style to try, but don’t be afraid! Find a pair that fits you great and they will make for a very elegant look! Love, Liv
